Cute bike but has some flaws...

My daughter got this bike for her birthday from my sister-in-law. I'll admit, it's a super cute bike and it fits her personality to a T! When she ordered the bike from another site, there weren't too many reviews. As we are seeing now, we weren't the only ones to have problems with putting it together. My husband and I have put together several bikes without too much trouble but this one made us sweat! If you read enough reviews, you'll see that many people had trouble with the front fork not being wide enough to get the front tire in and we had that same problem. No matter what we did, we could NOT get that front tire to fit. We are NOT wimps! In fact, I like to think that I'm pretty darn strong for a girl! But it was not going to happen. Unfortunately we chipped up the paint trying to finagle it in there. We tried contacting Little Missmatch and got no response whatsoever. That was disappointing. Contacted Toys R Us (where the bike was purchased online) and they told us that if we brought the bike to one of their retail locations that they would assemble it for their $10 assembly fee. They have a "fork spreader". So, we drove the 30 miles (60 miles round trip!) to the nearest store and paid the $10 to have it assembled.
Our story doesn't stop there...So my daughter rode the bike for a couple of weeks and suddenly had a flat rear tire. So my husband pulled out the tube only to find that the tube that was in the rear tire was about two inches too big and was folded over to fit inside the 20 inch tire. That was right where the leak in the tube was.
Another thing we're noticing is that all that cute paint on the rims is rubbing off where the brakes rub.
So...it's a cute bike and as far as my daughter is concerned it has no flaws...except for the downtime while we tried to put the darn thing together and while she had a flat. But as parents...we were definitely disappointed.
(As an FYI...even though this bike wasn't purchased on Amazon, I am posting this review here as well as on the site it was purchased on because I do lots of shopping on Amazon and always check reviews on Amazon before buying something! :o) )

No Problems For Us

We had no issues with getting this bike together at all. It takes longer then you think it will but there were no issues with anything. Very colorful! The little "bag" on the handlebars is a little cheap and probably won't last long but the rest of the bike seems well made.
